Lodging Options
There is a plentiful selection of motels, inns and B&Bs in the area (see map & list here). We urge you to book early, as rooms do go fast, and there are competing events during Roots on the River. Please let folks taking your reservation know you're coming for Roots on the River.

There are numerous chain motels in Brattleboro (approximately 30 minutes south of the festival, straight down I-91), mostly centered around Exit 3.
Directions
From Points North (Burlington, VT; The Great White North, aka Canadastan):
Take I-89 South or I-91 to White River Jct., continue on I-91 South to Exit 6, turn right at end of ramp and follow US-5 South to The Rodeway Inn.
From Points West (Albany, NY):
Take I-787 North ramp towards Troy, Merge onto I-787 North, Take the Rte. 7 East exit towards Troy, NY/Bennington, VT. Merge onto Rte. 7 East, Rte. 7 East becomes Vermont SR-9; follow SR-9 to I-91 North in Brattleboro. Take I-91 North to Exit 6. The Rodeway Inn is directly across from the exit ramp.
From Points East (Boston, MA):
Take Rte. 2 West to I-91 North in Greenfield, MA, I-91 North to Exit 6 in VT. The Rodeway Inn is directly across from the exit ramp.
From Points South (New York City; Hartford, CT):
Take I-91 North to Exit 6 in VT. The Rodeway Inn is directly across from the exit ramp (see a pattern here?).
